In November, China’s coal imports stood at 54.98 million metric tons, reflecting an 18.9% increase month-on-month and a 26.4% surge year-on-year. 1 For the first eleven months of this year, China’s coal imports reached 490.35 million metric tons, marking a 14.8% rise year-on-year.
China’s finished steel exports in November were recorded at 9.28 million metric tons, indicating a 17% decrease month-on-month and a 15.8% increase year-on-year. From January to November this year, China exported 101.15 million metric tons of steel, a 22.6% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The growth rate slowed by 0.7 percentage points compared to the first ten months of the year.
